Two New Log Homes Under Construction This Summer
On the left is the home of Justin & Sarah Penn in Mincoqua and on the right is the home of Harry & Joanne Radloff near Lake Tomahawk.
The Penn home started in mid-February and th Radloff home will begin in late April or early May,

It all started with the demo of an existing cabin. Above is what was left after about 5 minutes!

No holes dug just yet but the footprint of the house is staked out in the desired location.
|

Once the old cabin is removed the hole is dug for the new foundation.
|
|
Finally rolling on the Radloff cabin. Mid May and the foundation goes in. Log stacking in two weeks!

March 31st, day #2 of log stacking. Goes pretty fast once stacking starts. These are 10" Swedish cope logs.
|
|
By Mid June the logs are all stacked and the roof trusses installed.
|

|
A couple weeks later the first level is nearly finished.
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
By the end of May the roof is on and the cabin is really taking shape!
